Will you get a second chance at seeing each other again?You've done everything right so far. You got the date, you went to the right place, you didn't say the wrong thing and everything looks good. Now, how about that second date? There seems to be an unwritten rule that neither person calls for a second date for at least 3 days. If you call any earlier, you'll look too anxious, right? Wrong!!! I'm going to give you a tip that will virtually guarantee that you'll get a second date if everything has gone well up to now. It's incredible how many times people will go out on a date, have a good time and then tell everyone about it - except the person they were with. It's almost unheard of for someone to thank the other person the next day. This is the heart of this tip. The day after your date, I said the day after, not two or three or four days after, call the person you went out with. If an answering machine answers, great. If the person answers, simply say I only have a few seconds to talk. Then, in either case, say I just wanted to thank you for the great time yesterday. I had a lot of fun. I hope we do it again soon. That's it! After you've said those words, say goodbye and hang up. It shouldn't take more than 10 seconds. Don't make the mistake of getting involved in a longer discussion at this point. Ten seconds is all. Why is this so powerful? As with so many of these techniques, it's because people so rarely do it. How many times has someone called you the next day to say thanks. Probably not too often maybe never. This is particularly powerful for women, since men arrange the overwhelming majority of first dates. Ladies, as you've learned in this book that's a major mistake you're making. If you do the asking, you're bound to have great success.
